Internship Details

About Internship:

Our Young-Fin Ambassador program is a 3-month intensive internship opportunity for those who want to get their hands dirty in areas like financial journalism, marketing & brand building, investment research, and visual storytelling.

The program has 3 branches from which you can choose to specialize in one. The following are the broad areas of development and responsibilities for each of these branches. Don’t worry if you don’t know how to do them all, we will provide you with all the support you need to be successful.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Branch 1 - Financial content writing
Daily review of key financial developments in India and across the world
Capture major developments in different byte sizes – In less than 2 sentences or less than 200 words etc.
Curate questions for the financial quiz to be sent out as part of the newsletter.
Curate content for money games like ‘Price is Right’ to be sent out as part of the newsletter
Select a few companies in India, follow them and write short columns about some of them.
Spread the word about EveryFin’s newsletter and get at least 5 new subscribers per week.

Branch 2 - Data collection and analysis
Gather key financial data from various sources – Like business fundamentals data from annual reports.
Extract trade data from NSE/BSE website as required for detailed analysis
Find new and interesting sources of data on various parameters like housing, electricity consumption in the country, airline load factor, etc.
Use Excel to analyze data collected to identify trends and make conclusions – e.g., has there been growth? what is the data trend like etc.
Develop simple excel charts that illustrate the findings and present it to the rest of the team.
Spread the word about EveryFin’s newsletter and get at least 5 new subscribers per week.

Branch 3 - Visual storytelling in finance
Develop storyboards after discussing with content curators and data analysts
Do research on the internet from various sources to take inspirations on best practices on infographics/information design.
Use illustration/presentation tools like PowerPoint/adobe illustrator/spark posts to create visuals that can go on the website/be part of the newsletter.
Create simple visuals for simple ideas like quotes (refer to our Sunday newsletter for thought for the day section)
Create featured images for new posts based on freely available resources.
Spread the word about EveryFin’s newsletter and get at least 5 new subscribers per week.
